• Account details you give us: name, email address, phone number and location.
• Craftsperson profile details: trade, skills, experience, rates, photo and any verification document.
• Job requests: description, preferred date, address and any photo you attach.
• Messages you send to the other party in a job.
• Reviews and ratings you leave after a completed job.
• Basic technical information needed to keep you signed in and keep the service secure.

• To create and run your account and show your profile where you have chosen to publish it.
• To pass job requests to the craftsperson you choose and let the two of you message each other.
• To send you service messages about your requests, such as a new request or a status change.
• To review verification documents and respond to reports of misuse.

A craftsperson profile is public: name, photo, trade, skills, area, rates and reviews. Phone numbers are not public. A craftsperson's phone number is shown only to signed-in users, and an employer's phone number and address are shared only with the craftsperson they sent a request to.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with the service providers that host our database, storage and email sending on our behalf, and with authorities where the law requires it.

We keep account details, job requests and messages while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterwards where we need them to resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. Verification documents are deleted once a decision has been made and any appeal window has passed.

You can view and change your name, phone number and location under Your details, edit or remove your craftsperson profile, and ask us to delete your account. To make a request, email privacy@localartisanconnect.com. You can also ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it.

The service is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app.
